The President's Media Division (PMD) functions as the apex state communications entity responsible for issuing authentic, accurate, and timely press releases, official notifications, presidential speeches, and media broadcasts on behalf of the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

All publications appearing on this portal represent verified official state communications at the time of publication.

Copyright in all written text, high-resolution photographs, video footage, audio recordings, graphic infographics, and logos hosted on this website is vested in the President's Media Division, Government of Sri Lanka, unless explicitly noted otherwise.

News organizations, accredited journalists, educational institutions, and citizens are permitted to reproduce official press releases and public announcements provided that accurate context is maintained without misleading alteration.

For photographs and official video footage, mandatory visual accreditation must be provided in the format: 'Photo: PMD / President's Media Division' or 'Video: PMD'. Commercial monetization or unauthorized trademark exploitation of presidential insignia is strictly prohibited.

Users shall not engage in any activity that compromises the security, integrity, or uninterrupted availability of the PMD digital portal.

Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to: attempting unauthorized administrative access, introducing malicious code or vectors (viruses, trojans, ransomware), conducting automated data scraping or Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, and misrepresenting or falsifying official presidential statements.

This portal provides outbound hyperlinks to other official state institutions (e.g., President's Office, Parliament of Sri Lanka, Government News Portal news.lk, and President's Fund).

While PMD facilitates these links for citizen convenience, external portals operate under their respective administrative terms and privacy guidelines.

The PMD strives to maintain 99.9% portal uptime and continuously verify information accuracy. However, digital services are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis without warranties of any kind.

The PMD shall not be liable for temporary disruptions caused by scheduled security maintenance, telecommunications outages, or unforeseen cyber incidents.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, interpreted, and enforced in accordance with the substantive laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

Any legal dispute or claim arising out of the use of this portal shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
